You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

You're still figuring out your place in the world and how you want your life to shape up.

The Band Meme (You Have Got. To. Play!)

I have no shame. Though I am a serious talent and should be in Hollywood *giggling with intermittent snorts*, I had to put on my begging shoes to start up a new band. My hard work paid off though, because I'm in. They like me! They really like me! I'm the tall one over there on the left...Note to self: I shall never forget about the little people.

These were the turn of events: Bud Weiser of WTIT Tape Radio: The Blog started all the ruckus by stealing this meme. Great idea, I say, because when I stumbled across it at Sandee's and then later Mimi's place, I too thought of stealing it. Bottom line: I got'r done and so can you. Just follow the simple instructions. Methinks you'd be smart for getting linky love any way you can. Good times. *smackies*

Here we go. You are about to encounter sheer, blushing joy.

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post the result as a comment in this post. Also, pass it along in your own journal because it’s more amusing that way.

Here's mine:

I tag the following (with no pressure, but c'mon. this is really a load of thrills!):

The Band Meme

Band memers: Bud - The Band Meme WTIT Style, Linda at Are We There Yet?, Sandee at Comedy Plus , Mimi Lenox at Mimi Writes, Bands That Rock - EDog's Everything Page Bond's Big Leather Couch , Crazy Working Mom , Coffee2Go , Hammer , Julie's Jewels and Junque , Lyn's Last Minute Life , Speedcat Hollydale Page, Knit For Joy , Gill's Jottings, Lee at Tarheel Ramblings, Jamie from Duward Discusssions, Maggie Moo Talks2U, My View Of It, Colin at Life, Work of the Poet, Mauigirl's Meanderings, Lori from Hahn At Home, The Painted Veil, Dixie's Heart and Soul, Anndi's Luggage, Monday Morning Power, Peanut, Peanut Butter Jelly2! , Asara's Mental Meanderings, Mr. Lance Solitary Views, Diary of a Heretic, Kids, Cats, & Books - Nola Dawn, Observations From the Back 40, Late Bloomer Boomer , My Dogs Keep Me Sane - Misty Dawn, Random Autumness, Foxxfyrre's Honk 'n Hollr, Screw Perfection, Olga, The Traveling Bra, Trav's Thoughts, Andrena Getting a Grip on Grace, Everything and NothingBlog-Blond, Lowdown From LoisWriter Cramps, Friday Night Fish Fry, Butchy and Snickers, Foster Me Up, Place Your Code Here

I have been tagged by my friend Milton from Bluedreamer 5 with the Top 5 Hottest Blogs. This, of course for me, will be impossible. I will not be able to pick 5 and will be sad once I've completed my task. But, I'll play anyway and work on getting over it.

***start copy here***

***end copy here***

Here are my nominations (keeping in mind I have other favorites, and this is really killing me):

1 - Sandee from Comedy Plus. Sandee is an amazing person and has a refreshing, professional and very funny blog. I can't say enough kind things about her. She gives to the nth degree, is always kind and will do anything for anybody. If I miss a post, it's because I've died.
2 - MamaGeek of What Works For Us. Severe humor different from anybody I know. Great photography skills and super mom. I don't miss a day of her site. She's killer kool.
3 - Alison from EleanorBlog. From Scotland, she is a guide at a castle and studies genealogy, history and photography. All of this is in her blog, in addition to information on art, films, music and Eleanor of Castile, medieval queen and wife of King Edward I of England. She's not only fascinating (and very sweet), but so is her blog.
4 - Pam from Random Thoughts. Pam is a teacher, a wife, a mom, and a friend. Being a teacher sums it up for me here. Additionally, her blog is lively and colorful and always full of happiness.
5 - Storyteller of Small Reflections. She "lends light and builds bridges." Her site is full of soul and the time she spends in meditation shows via the insights she shares. She too is a teacher -- of 34 years. Need I say more?

Anyone else wishing to participate, please feel free to do so and ensure that after posting go here and list your 5 nominations.

I tag the above 5 nominees and anybody else who would like to play.

Meme Monday and Awards Too #5

Melanie started this Meme Monday as a way to get some linky love and spend one day getting caught up on all tags. Rock and roll, sweet Melanie. Let's have some fun *yippee*

Message in a Bottle

---A meme from my buds, Sandee and Blue. A little late, but better than never and this one was fun, so thx friends.

Here are the rules:

You are about to send a virtual Message In a Bottle across the Blog Ocean. Leave a message in the sand or on the bottle. Write anything you wish. Be a pirate or a poet. Serious or silly. Anonymous or not. What message would you like to send out to the universe?

Message In A Bottle Meme

1. Compose a message to place in your virtual bottle.
2. Right click and SAVE the blank graphic below.

3. Use a graphics program of your choice to place the message on the picture.
4. Post the Message In a Bottle meme and your creation on your blog along with these rules.
5. Tag a minimum of 5 bloggers - or your entire blogroll - to do the same. Notify them of the tag. Your virtual bottle will remain afloat in the blogosphere ocean for all blogernity (That's a Mimism for blog + eternity).

Sandee, once I hit the publish button, I'll head on over to Mimi's to let her know I've played *lovies*

Here's mine:

I'm not tagging this week, 'cause I did so many last week. I want you guys to keep visiting, you see. But, please play if you like! No tag necessary. Seriously now.

Dream Gadgets

Teach tagged me for a Dream Gadget meme. There were no rules...though I figure I am to post some gadgets I'd like to have. (Hope that's right, Mary!) Funny thing. I could only think of one :? She had three. So, if ya wanna play - do 3!

The second-generation Sony $999 BDP-S1 Blu-ray disc player features a more substantial remote than the Toshiba HD DVD player and was the quietest among the three machines tested.

Again, no tags. But, if you haven't played these games and you really must, do one or go crazy and do them both.

AWARDS

My new bloggy buddy, Storyteller awarded me with the next four. Yes. Four. She's a generous giver and a sweetie too. I'm so glad to get to know you, cyber friend.

KC -- How sweet that you would give this to everyone that comments. I think you're cool too, KC!

Comedy Plus gave this to me. It means an awful lot when Sandee gives me a gift. I stand a little taller with this special present.

Lookie. I got this from both Comedy Plus and OneLuvGurl. I'm feel'n the love now. Wow. Thanks so much guys.

Roger Dodger. You were away a week, working double shifts and when you return you make gifts. You're quite a dude. Thanks a billion!

My Blog Rocks!
The first 10 visitors who comment may take the awards. It means a lot that you visit. I will also be giving some of them away at a later date to special recipients. *smoochies*

My Other Half.

Posted by Picasa

My best friend; my twin; my other half, Robin.

In case some of you didn't know, Robin is 1/2 the reason I'm writing my memoir. We were taken away from our home, our parents and as the story unfolds, she is the one who suffers traumas I will never face. I watch her go thru pain. That is my trauma. My pain. But, together we struggle; together we survive. Here's to you, Robin.

In Honor of Elvis Presley

- Because I was born on the same day;
- Because my twin's first born was born on the day of his death;
- Because some of his favorite foods included crisp bacon and mashed potatoes and brown gravy.
- Because...I'm. Hungry.
...9 days down, 1 more to go (of my fast -- the Master Cleanser. Focus, Chuck, focus.)

Day 8. Feel'n Gr8 - No Food. (scroll down for TT)

- Day 6 (with no food on The Master Cleanser), was the hardest for me, but it's over. Moving on.

- Day 7, I finally lost the desire to eat, cravings for everything junk subsided, and I had all my energy back (from the previous oopsie of too little maple syrup). I even had a super duper workout *yippee*

- Day 8, seriously feeling marvie. It really is key to prepare your mind, body, soul and spirit for this challenge. Sitting in front of the TV all day watching commercials that advertise crap food all day long is not a good idea. Nor is it a good idea to have your significant other hanging out in the kitchen cooking aromatic delights such as bacon and eggs while you drink your meal. The smell alone will send you into a slight state of homicidal madness irritability.

The only weirdness lurking is some joint pain in one knee (which never hurt before), which is normal with the detox and has already disappeared. I Also had a pain in my side (no joints there I don't think) where I cracked a rib years ago (from coughing). I know. I'm an odd duck.

Overall, my state of being is overwhelmingly peaceful and at ease. The desires to slit my next-door neighbor's tires have flown away. My body is getting back into shape and losing 11 pounds of water weight has been fantastico (yep, that's right). Good-bye Michelin Woman. (It is common to lose up to 20 lbs. if your body needs the loss.)

Go here to see the entire process (including benefits and vitamin-mineral content) on one page.

That's all.

Quirky and Middle Name Memes

Melanie tagged me 2 weeks ago - again, so sorry, friend -- to do the meme about 6 unimportant or quirky things about me. Tag some people then come back and let me know you've played....I too have done this before, but look at me go! I'm all about being quirky.

1) I must see my show (Y&R) every day or I get kinda weird;
2) Though I come from the multitasking corporate world, I can't do more than one thing in a day at home w/out getting stressed;
3) I sniff crayons;
4) I sometimes detox without eating for 10 days;
5) I smell the inside of books; and,
6) For 32 yrs., I've eaten the skin from the inside of my mouth.

I tag: Storyteller, Gnat and Verb.

* * * *
Middle Name Meme

Melanie also tagged me to play this one.

(1) You must post the rules on your post before you answer the questions.
(2) You need to list one fact about yourself using each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name use your maiden name instead.
(3) When you are finished with your answers, you tag one person for each letter of your name.

B - I have a Bald head.
R - I like to watch the little, Red-haired girl come out of her house.
O - I only dread One day at a time
W - I believe it's the secret to life: replace one Worry with another...
N - Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.

I tag: anybody who feels like playing, simply because I've already tagged so many of you. Maybe if you don't have one yet for Meme Monday, this would be a good one to steel. Enjoy, peanuts!
