Elephant Stew

Life has taken me in a new direction as of late, but I can't stop thinking about the world I left behind. So, I've stopped in to say hello, to let you know I miss you, namely, (those regular contributors to my drivel listed below):

...and to share a family recipe provided by dear mom during my recent visit to her in the great land of Oz. She couldn't see the old book, so she handed it to me requesting I find "Elephant Stew" in the index. Though her vision has almost completely been taken by Edema, she still managed to find a giggle down deep; we laughed together till we about cried. Hence, in honor of her, here's her famous stew concoction. To your good health and to laughter too. *grinnies*

Elephant Stew

1 medium-sized elephant
brown gravy to cover
Salt & pepper
2 rabbits (optional)

Cut the elephant into bite-sized pieces. This should take about 2 months. Add the brown gravy and cook over a kerosene fire about 4 weeks at 465 degrees Fahrenheit. This will serve about 3800 people. If more are expected, add your 2 rabbits, but do this only if necessary, as most people do not like to find hare in their stew.

Hey … You’re here today! How cool ;--)
I miss you but hope you’re having fun doing whatever you’re doing these days. Thanks for the ‘Elephant Stew’ chuckles and take care of yourself. My T-13 is on a serious topic today … but previous ones have been more ‘phun’ if you’ve got time for a visit. Take care …
Hugs and blessings,

Glad your life has a direction and that you are busy. You're great.

Thanks for stopping by.

I only have one can of gravy; don't know if it'll cover an elephant. May have to start with the rabbits.

Hiya Chuck!
How are you sweetheart? Hope all is well with you :o)

I think I will need a slightly larger stockpot to squeeze the elephant in, could be a bit tight, but hell, if it helps to feed tha masses then why not...should be ready before halloween hahaha.
Missed you being around,
Take care and have a gr8 weekend ahead.
*Hugs n kisses*

I was wondering what happened to you. Some advise.....we all need a break from blogging once in a while, sometimes a long break. Don't make the mistake of shutting down your blog. I know some people who have done that and regretted it later. You have some very loyal friends out here.

Life may bring you back.....hopefully.
